Women on Tap – Writing Workshop with Small Acts

By June 3, 2021 June 14th, 2021 Events

We are thrilled to be participating in this years Women on Tap festival. A mix of online and live events, the programme is bursting with inspirational women, creative experiences, awareness raising events, and opportunities to sample excellent beer.

We will be running an online Back of a Beermat writing workshop on Wednesday 9th June from 6pm to 8pm. In a small group, we will guide you through some fun and creative exercises towards the telling and writing of beermat size stories. No prior experience of creative writing is necessary, just a desire to have a go!

A previous workshop participant said..

“Thank you for such a brilliant evening. Your prompts got me thinking and imagining in a spontaneous way again – one of the things I’ve missed most throughout lockdown. I loved hearing how differently everyone interpreted the tasks and can’t wait to get down the pub now!”

About Small Acts

Katie Etheridge and Simon Persighetti are artists and performance makers who create live participatory projects that explore the interrelationships between people and places. Since 2011 they have developed a unique collaborative practice operating at the intersection between architecture, community, place and performance. Engaging people all stages of the creative process, they develop multi-disciplinary methodologies designed to explore, expose and contain multiple perspectives and sometimes conflicting narratives of place.
